The quality of lighting required by athletes is different from that of spectators. Athletes have relatively low requirements for lighting, while the purpose of spectators is to watch the game, and their lighting requirements increase with the viewing distance. The degree of glare produced by lamps depends on the density, projection direction and quantity of lamps, the viewing position of spectators in the arena, and the ambient brightness. In fact, the number of lamps is related to the number of seats in the stadium auditorium.

When the four corners of the site are used, the angle between the line from the bottom of the light pole to the midpoint of the sideline of the site and the sideline of the site should not be less than 5°, and the angle between the line from the bottom of the light pole to the midpoint of the line and the bottom line should not be less than 5°. If the height of the lamp is less than 10°, the angle between the line connecting the center of the light pole to the center of the site and the plane of the site should not be less than 25°.
